I've got a short that I wrote which has been catalogued up by the Film Council called; 'The Hard Sell'. It'll be screened at festivals here and worldwide. I've got a feature script and a few ideas to go on at the moment- and I'll be looking for funding, hopefully at some of those festivals.

Yeah it was a sketch show he did a couple of years ago. It's very fucked up and a bit of an acquired taste but if you liked his previous stuff you'll probably like it. You can get the whole series on dvd for about ?9.99 in HMV at the moment I think.

Jam was some funny (fucked up) shit. Did the Jam DVD they released really have all those weird special features it mentioned in one of the early press release things about it?
The Gush (spoken in a Dutch accent) of course! The dvd is okay, the extras are pretty weird but useless. Like being able to watch the whole series speeded up to about 1 minute in total. It does also have the late night version of Jam, Jaaaaaaam which had different visual effects on the footage (basically just someone playing around with the filters in after effects).
This year (and I know most people are going to doubt the quality of these but it has been very 'spur of the moment and keep going') I have written-An action/thriller character-driven script, a sci-fi/action trilogy, and am currently writing a Vietnam war movie.
However, I'm also kicking up ideas of a British rom-Com, but more along the lines of The Leaugue Of Gentleman/High Fidelity (weird characters and one central character that speaks to the audeince) that is based around my school and my Dad's weird friends.
I'm shooting at the end of this month...black and white no dialogue either.
No effects or CGI.
I'll post some stills up in Feb, all things going well so you can all slate it.
Mine is basically about shoes. It has no dialogue or shots of people's faces - just narration, foley and music.
And it DOES have special effects - one shot required rain, couldn't rely on real rain (plus it would have blown up my lights etc) - it was actually pretty hard work - had to wet down the area and I had lots of bin liners (with pin holes) full of water hanging from a piece of wood at different levels above the shot plus a couple that I held in front of the lens. Looks pretty convincing, I think.
....and now I have dropped the above mentioned shot into my sequence - I'm only using it for about 3 seconds! The lengths we go to to create 'movie magic' eh [img]confused.gif[/img]

yeah, 3 months to make a prop, that appears for about 2 seconds in the finished thing!
